I’ve never really been the kind of girl who wears a lot of makeup. I’ve always kept my beauty routine simple – a little lip color and maybe some blush, and I’m good to go. No muss, no fuss. Since making the decision to use only all natural, organic cosmetics and skincare, I’ve had to shop around to find items that fit with my needs and my budget. It took some time and a lot of searching to find a good, natural lip gloss alternative – one that wasn’t too expensive, or one that didn’t feel gross going on. Needless to say I was very happy to discover Burt’s Bees line of lip shimmers (Okay, some of us may think they’re sell-outs now that they’re owned by Clorox, but I still like a couple of their products. Although, I feel their quality has suffered since the take over). Their lip shimmers come in a variety of pretty, girlie colors, and have their signature peppermint flavor – which is a big selling point for me since I LOVE peppermint . I’ve purchased these shimmers in nine different colors, and with mixing and matching them, have come up with tons of different shades. I really love these shimmers because they give my lips a pretty hint of color, while at the same time leaving them feeling moisturized and refreshed. The best part though is that they cost around $5, and don’t contain any funky, hard-to-pronounce ingredients.

I dropped by from SITS but just signed on as a member–I LOVE what you’re doing here. I work with and blog about animals but am on a personal journey to become closer with the earth and all life it supports.
And I share your love for dark chocolate! The higher the cacao content, the wider the grin it inspires.
Thanks so much! I love the comment interaction – it’s why I do this. I want to share what I know and find with others to help them make life better for themselves and others. As for the chocolate, I totally agree – the more cacao the better! I’ll definitely check out your blog – I love animals too. Peace.
