It’s Green Find Saturday! | Burt’s Bees Res-Q Ointment

Hello again lovely readers!  It’s another beautiful Saturday, and time again for another green find edition.  This week:  Help ease your skin woes with a little help from Burt.

It’s summertime, and the livin’ is easy – as long as you can keep the bugs off!  I went outside a couple of evenings ago to give my beautiful mammoth sunflowers a little dose of some H2O, when lo and behold the mosquitoes made a beeline for me (like all the insect references here?).  I wasn’t outside more than a few minutes, and of course I was fully covered as usual, but they love to suck my blood out anyway.

So what’s a girl to do when she gets all itchy and needs some relief – like now?  She reaches for her little green tin of Burt’s Bees Res-Q Ointment.  Burt’s Bees Res-Q Ointment is great for all of life’s little skin irritations, at least everyone in my family thinks so.  I discovered this product last year in a Burt’s Bees sample pack, and loved it.  I was then lucky enough to find it on sale at my local Lowes hardware store, and stocked up on it like crazy!  It usually runs about $6.00 a tin, but I paid $1.00 for it I think, and saved a bunch of money.  I’ve been giving it away to family and friends, and still have plenty on hand.

This is a product I can’t live without – and I rarely say that about any product.  I love the way it smells.  It has a wonderful lavender scent to it, plus it really takes care of those bug bites…fast.  I’ve used this product for all kinds of skin issues in my house – bug bites, dry skin, heat rash, skin irritation – you name it, we’ve used it for it.  The best part about Burt’s Bees Res-Q ointment is the fact that it’s all natural, and a little goes a long way!

  1. Can I ask what section of lowes did you find this product? After reading your post, I went to the local lowes store but could not find it.

    • Hi Amy! I found the product in the gardening section towards the back of our store where they have items like gardening gloves, insect repellent, small pots, that kind of thing. I’m so sorry you couldn’t find any there. You can also purchase it from drugstores like Walgreen’s, maybe CVS, or at Whole Foods if you have one nearby. It’s also available for purchase online from http://www.burtsbees.com.

Hope you can find some. If you still can’t, let me know and I’ll try to help you out. Thanks so much for visiting, and of course for leaving a comment.

      Peace. ;)

    • It is great. We use it for everything at our house, and since it’s natural I let my kids keep some in their gear when they go to grandma’s house.

Thanks for the visit Cindy, and of course for the comment. Peace. ;)
