Eating Genetically Modified Foods – Take the Poll

Would you knowingly eat GMOs?

“If you put a label on genetically engineered food you might as well put a skull and crossbones on it.”  ~ Norman Braksick, president of Asgrow Seed Co., a subsidiary of Monsanto, quoted in the Kansas City Star, March 7, 1994. – Quote courtesy of Organic Consumers Association.

Franken Foods – to Eat or Not to Eat?

I recently read a great article by Ronnie Cummins about GMO labeling and taking on Monsanto - it’s up to individuals like you and me at the grassroots level to make GMO labeling a reality

Living in California where we have a proposed 2012 ballot initiative to get GMOs labeled, I sometimes take for granted that there are folks out there who don’t even know what GMOs are, let alone why we should avoid them.  So my sociologist side has become curious – if you knew there were genetically modified ingredeints in the foods you were buying would you still continue to purchase and eat them?

  1. These big business men just want to make money, they do not care the risk, they do not care about other.

thees BS need to be sentence to death.

and 25% of people are idiots, they do not know the risk.

  2. I agree. Its grassroots folks that are going to make a difference. Living in TN I have a lot of home grown, and local options. I am surrounded by farms. But people in big cities dont always have that or want to put the effort into finding it.

    • Hi Amanda,

What you’re saying is very true – many people don’t have access to good foods, or they just don’t deem it necessary to avoid GMOs. You’re very blessed to have so many good options around you.

Thanks for the visit! Peace. ;)
