  1. First off I want to say awesome blog! I had a quick question in which I’d like to ask if you don’t mind. I was interested to find out how you center yourself and clear your thoughts before writing. I’ve had a difficult time clearing my thoughts in getting my ideas out there. I do enjoy writing however it just seems like the first 10 to 15 minutes are lost just trying to figure out how to begin. Any ideas or tips? Appreciate it!

    • Wow, thanks Gilda! It’s funny you should ask me that question. I started blogging as a way to help heal my body after illness. I deal from fibromyalgia and B12/iron deficiency. My thinking and memory skills have gone way down, and it’s been a struggle ever since to try to regain them. I find that yoga helps a lot with that, as well as eating well and blogging. When it comes to writing I always keep a notebook handy when I get an idea. I also like to keep blogs I read, stories, and ideas organized well. For that I use Pinterest, twitter lists, Feedly, and my computer’s sticky notes and word program. If I feel like writing and have the time I go for it – if I can’t get anything out I’ll leave it alone and try again at another time. I find that when I go outside for a nice brisk walk or have practiced yoga for the day ideas start to come pretty easily. I also try to keep distractions to a minimum, but with three kids and a husband that’s not always easy to do. I do get frustrated when I can’t write now because I know how easy writing used to be for me, but I’m learning to be patient with myself. I do appreciate your kind comment. Good luck to you, and thanks for visiting.

      Peace. ;)
